About Our Carpets
At Blatchington Road Flooring Ltd. we supply a wide range of carpets to suit all needs and budgets. Whether it’s a 100% polypropylene you are after, which is easy clean fibre (bleach cleanable) and comes in either a twist, loop or Saxony, or an 80/20 wool twist available in heavy domestic or extra heavy domestic qualities in various weights - from 32 oz to 60 oz. For manufacturers’ recommended use, please refer to the back of each carpet sample. Moving on to more luxurious Saxonys, these will give your bedroom carpet a more sumptuous feel beneath your feet, making getting out of bed more pleasurable. Combining this with a good quality underlay makes this a winning formula. Loop pile carpets in either plain, multi-coloured stripes or Berber tones will give your stairs and landings a statement look. You also have the option of using stair rods and having runners made to give your staircase that bespoke feel.
When we measure and quote, please bear in mind that in order for us to provide a professional finish, the square meterage of an area will not always be the same as the amount of carpet required to complete the job. This is because we need to ensure that the carpet, particularly over multiple areas where applicable, is all laid in the same pile direction. We also look to provide carpet in the correct width to prevent unnecessary joins.
EDGING SERVICE:
Priced on an individual basis, any leftover carpet can be whipped (sewn) all round to give you an additional floor covering.
UNDERLAY:
Our standard preferred quality underlay is Cloud 9 Cirrus, but we are flexible and can supply other options for different uses, if required. For example, this could be a double stick system for natural flooring / home office areas, or tog rated in conjunction with underfloor heating. A budget range is also available, which is better suited for landlords with rental properties. New underlay is always recommended by manufacturers when fitting your new carpet.
GRASS:
We can obtain a vast selection of synthetic grass, and also carry some in stock. Please ask for further details.
CARPET TILES:
We can supply a variety of hard-wearing up-to-date design carpet tiles, by a range of manufacturers. Please ask for further details. These come in Polypropylene, as per our carpets. They are also available in solution died nylon.
SUNDRIES:
Entrance matting is usually in stock in a choice of 1 or 2 metre widths in a natural brown, and coloured matting can be ordered upon request.
Metal edges are aluminium and can be chosen in either gold or silver, with options for personalisation in various colours and finishes at an additional premium.
